we believe that tourism can be a powerful catalyst for positive change around the world, including for stray animals. Founded in 2006, CANDi is a unique animal welfare organization working at the intersection of tourism, sustainability, and animal protection.

Our Mission

In many popular tourist destinations, stray dogs and cats are a persistent problem. These animals often suffer from malnutrition, disease, and harsh living conditions. In response, CANDi has developed an innovative approach: using tourism revenue to fund spay/neuter programs and adoption initiatives aimed at controlling this overpopulation.

By partnering with resorts, hotels, and other stakeholders in the tourism industry, we implement free or low-cost spay/neuter programs while also offering educational initiatives that raise awareness about the importance of humane treatment for animals.
